William "Bill" Williams

1933~2012

 

William "Bill" Williams passed away peacefully January 24, 2012, at his home in Bandon, OR. Born September 7 1933, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Samuel C. and Sylvia Williams, he was the middle of three brothers. He lived most of his childhood in Spanish Fork or at the Williams homestead up Spanish Fork Canyon. As a teenager, he joined the Army National Guard and served three years deployed in the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged from military service in November 1952.

After returning from the war, he met the love of his life, Nancy Lowe, and they were married June 27 1952. Bill and Nancy are the proud parents of 3 sons and 5 daughters. Their family eventually grew to encompass 21 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

Bill was a hard worker providing for his family laboring in the uranium, coal, and soda-ash mines of Utah and Wyoming. Work was long and hard, but dad always found time for his wife and children. His family was always cared for and placed as the highest priority in his life. He took his family on multiple trips & vacations every year. He spent every second of his free time with his children, either teaching them about nature, hiking, hunting, fishing or just good old-fashion family games. Not only did Bill care for his immediate family but he did just about anything for relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Williams, an elder brother Samuel Gordon Williams, and 3 sons: Bill Williams, Jody Williams, Lanis (Kim) Williams; 5 daughters: Shanna (John)Schwaller, Vickie (Ross) Heiniger, Sandi (Roger) Humphrey, Nancy (David) Williams, and Faye London, and 65 of his grand/great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel & Silvia Williams, his brother David, and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery following services, with Military Honors provided by the American Legion.

The family would like to express their sincere love and appreciation to the staff at Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork and to the staff of Amling & Schroeder Mortuary in Bandon, OR for the loving care and kindness shown to Dad and his family.

Marie Lowe Barrett, born March 28, 1927 in Springville Utah, passed away at her Springville home on April 3, 2011. Marie was born to Orval Caris (OC) Lowe and Mary Spafford, and attended schools in Springville, Utah and Sacramento,California. Marie held many jobs in Utah county and Sacramento, but her greatest accomplishment was her family.

 

Marie met Thomas Giles Barrett on February 1, 1947, while working at Geneva Steel Plant, and they were married four days later on February 5th, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom and Marie were married for 46 years when Tom died August 29, 1991. Tom and Marie had five children:

Marie was an excellent bowler, an avid reader, and a board game extraordinaire. She often spent hours playing (and beating) her grandchildren at Yahtzeeand Scrabble! She loved to spend time with her husband and children, hunting and fishing in Strawberry. Marie was an accomplished knitter and crocheter, spending countless hours crafting blankets and shawls for children in need. Marie also was generous, giving to several charities, and helping to fund missions for the LDS church. Marie will be remembered for her generosity, her commitment to her family, and her dry sense of humor.

 

Marie is survived by her children; Peggy Lee Barrett Nash (La Grande, OR), Thomas Ray Barrett and wife Sherry Barrett (Fountain Green, UT), James Paul Barrett (USA), daughter in law Melanie B. Herman (Va); brothers Orval Clyde Lowe and wife Mrytle (Safford, AZ), Jerry Reed Lowe and wife Linda (Pierre, SD), George S Kelly, and wife Janice (St. George, UT), Evan Scott Lowe and wife Gwen (Oahu, Hi), Billy Kent Lowe and wife Pat (Springville, UT); sisters Pauline Farrer and husband Don (Provo, UT), Lois Bartholomew and husband Dan (Springville, UT), Lela Shepherd (Robertsville, MI); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildrenand counting.

 

Marie was preceded in death by her mother and step-father - Mary Spaffordand Paul J Kelly; her father and step-mother Orval C Lowe and Louise Bramell; husband Thomas Giles Barrett; sons Kelly Thomas Barrett and Ted L. Barrett ; brother Lewis J Lowe; sister Joan Kelly Wagoner; brother in law Alan Wagoner; sister in law Shirlene Harmer Lowe.

 

A service honoring Marie's life will be held at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville, Utah on Friday April 8th, 2011 at 11am. Friends may join the family to share memories of Marie between 9:45 and 10:45 Friday April 8th, just prior to the service. Services will conclude at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville on April 8th, where Marie will be laid to rest next to the love of her life and her two sons.

F. Wayne Bartholomew died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He was born May 12, 1922 in Fayette, UT to Floyd and Pearl Larsen Bartholomew the 6th child of 13. He married Margaret Elizabeth Schoenstra on November 5, 1947 in the SLC Temple.

 

He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific as a Master Blacksmith. He loved gardening and was a Master Gardener. He held many callings in the LDS church including Scoutmaster, faithful Home Teacher and Executive Secretary.

 

He is survived by his wife; 6 children: Ann (Doug) Sherwin, Bert (Debbie), Ina (Charles) Welch, Lynn (Maxine), Dale (Carole) and Gwen (Scott) Dedrickson; 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Owen and Dan and 2 sisters: Vera Boswell and Miriam Mitchell.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Hidden Cove LDS Chapel, 2379 E 1100 S, Springville, UT. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville or Friday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.

 



 

Judy Kathleen Wright Lowe



Judy Kathleen Wright Lowe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away quietly in her Payson, Utah home on August 12, 2010. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Butler, her mother, Kathy Wing, her father, Donald Wright, her brother, Rodney Carter and brother-in-law, Butch Curtis. She is survived by her loving husband &sweetheart, John Vernon Lowe, her daddy, Ray Wing, her children, Tanya (David) Teams, Javee (Jada) Lowe, Doni (Glen) Jarvis, Jarrod Lowe, son-in-law Brett Butler, 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, siblings, Mickey (Ilene) Carter, Gary (Paula) Carter, Bonnie Curtis, Ralph (Pam) Wing, Lary (Shelly) Wing and Donny (Cherly) Wright, and many, many nieces and nephews.
 

She was born June 11,1945 in Provo and raised in Springville. She married John Vernon Lowe on June 18, 1966 and they were sealed for time and all eternity. She was a happy loving person who touched lives of countless people. Her family was the center of her world and she was the center of theirs. She loved nature, sunshine and blue skies, painting, reading and many other crafts. Her faith gave her strength throughout her life. Her love for the Savior was always shown in everything she did. She was quick to accept everyone, and never judged anyone. Because of that she was extremely loved. Her beautiful smile was contagious and just one of the millions of reasons that we will all miss her everyday. Until we meet again. We love you Mom!

There will be a viewing held Wednesday, August 18th from 6-8 pm at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin. Services will be held on Thursday August 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Payson 5th Ward building at 789 East and 700 North (Arrowhead Trail) in Payson. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 9:45-10:45 am. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made at any Zion’s bank to the Judy K. Lowe donation fund.

 




 

Lorrie Lynn Gordon Huff



Lorrie Lynn Gordon Huff, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010. She was born July 7, 1959 in San Diego, California to Rulon Jesse and Wilda May Lowe Gordon.

Growing up, she loved spending time with her cousins and family. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School and enjoyed her experiences there.

She married Kelly Huff on May 15, 1976 in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed being a homemaker and being with her family. She loved her grandkids and spent as much time as possible doing things with them. She had a talent for quilt making and sewing and loved to go camping and fishing with family. She was a best friend to her children and they could talk to her about anything.

Lorrie is survived by her husband, Kelly; children, Melissa (Dustin) Sanderson, and Brett Huff; daughter-in-law, Janel Huff; her parents, Rulon and Wilda Gordon; grandchildren, Alexis, James, Angel, Samantha, and Mason; and three brothers, Kelly (Lisa) Gordon; Randy Gordon; Rodney Gordon; and one sister, Diana (Bob) Jeffs. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jason and Darren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salem Knoll Park Ward Chapel, 160 South 460 West, Salem, Utah. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening, July 27, 2010 at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.

Cindy Beardall Savage

Cindy Beardall Savage passed away May 17th 2010.
She was born in 1958, and grew up in Springville Utah. She was an amazing Lady and left a wonderful Legacy behind. She loved to serve others, and was a great example to many. She was a loving, caring daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.

She loved to go camping and fishing and just to spend time with her family. She loved to be with her family as often as she could. She loved to serve the Lord, and to share the gospel to many people in her life. Even when she was going though her trials she never complained, she would always say how much a blessing they were. She was always very positive and always had a smile on her face.
 

She is survived by her parents (Homer and Margaret Beardall); sister (Becky Spalding); her husband (Michael Savage); her 5 Children (Jeremiah Savage, Wade Savage, Teresa Larsen, Steven Savage and Leslie Johnson) and 7 Grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all those who helped and supported Cindy during her treatments at the Central Utah Cancer Center.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Santaquin 16th Ward Chapel, 250 S 580 East, Santaquin, UT. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.

Andrea Lowe Butler

 


 

Andrea Paige Lowe Butler “Andi” age 36 of Payson, passed away quietly at home on Monday February 8, 2010. She was born on November 8, 1973 to John Vernon and Judy Kathleen Wright Lowe in Provo. Andrea married her best friend, Brett Earl Butler of Spring Lake on November 23, 1991. They were blessed with four beautiful children, one daughter and three sons.

 Andrea was raised in Payson and graduated from Payson High school. She loved life and spending time with her friends. She enjoyed yearly family vacations and loved the mountains. When she was young, Andi loved the water and rarely took her bathing suit off. She loved animals, and especially her cat Mamma Mittens. Andrea’s world was devoted to her husband and their children. She gave all of her time and love to them. Andi was immensely proud of them, and she made sure that everyone knew about all of their accomplishments. She was a wonderful daughter, sister and friend to those closest to her. In the short time she was with us, she touched the lives of countless people. She cared for others in a way that made her loved by many. She will be deeply missed.

Andrea is survived by her husband Brett and their four children; Nathaniel Even Butler (17), Katreena Paige Butler (16), Jonathan Cole Butler (14) and Anthony James Butler (13). She is also survived by her parents, Vernon and Judy Lowe, her siblings, Tanya (David) Teams, Javee (Jada) Lowe, Doni (Glen) Jarvis and Jarrod Lowe; her mother in law, Merna Butler and her husband’s siblings, Michelle (John), Michael, Jaren (Heather), Shannon, Staci (Justin), Kristen, Erin and Alan. She also has 27 wonderful nieces and nephews. Andrea was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Kathy Wing and Vera Lowe, grandfathers, John Lowe and Donald Wright and her father in law, Thomas Butler.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Feb. 13th at 10:00AM at the Mountain View LDS chapel located at 640 East 500 North in Payson. There will be a viewing for family and friends at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday at the church from 8:30 to 9:45 am. She will be buried at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support that has been generously shared with all of us at this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made at any Utah Community Credit Union in Andrea’s name. Thank You!

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, we would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again… We All Love You Andi and we cherish every moment you blessed our lives. We will miss you!
